A firm experienced in research, political campaigns, strategic communications, media, and corporate intelligence to deliver winning strategies at the highest levels of business and government. 

The Technical Manager role is responsible for executing the building of our technology competency across the group. While initially the role is hands-on, we are growing rapidly as a global organisation and are seeking someone who can play a key role in maturing our group to a digitally fluent organisation. Such a person would be self-starting and self-directing with a passion for problem solving using a wide range of technologies, and will report to the Managing Director as the business grows.

Day to day activities will involve developing digital assets to assist in campaign execution, designing databases to manage data more effective ways, and managing vendor relationships to develop our security and internal infrastructure. 

Capabilities & Skills

You will possess:

  • Front end development skills across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular and React

  • Ability to creation and/or integrate APIs

  • Open source CMS development and configuration skills across WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and/or Magento

  • Develop database architecture, query and management

  • Develop wireframes

  • Manage domain / hosting arrangements

  • Develop and maintain site and infrastructure security

  • Knowledge of W3C Standards and WCAG 2.0

  • Knowledge of DevOps (AWS, Git, etc)

  • Experienced in SEO (preferred)

Identify opportunities to improve the group’s operations and client engagements using technology

  • Plan and build reliable, secure and high-quality digital solutions

  • Provide technical guidance and coordinate technical activities

  • Develop technical specifications and drive systems and database architecture and software development through delivery and deployment

  • Manage technology vendors and assist in infrastructure best practices

  • Demonstrate, champion and instil company values and culture internally and externally

  • Execute projects through ownership of timelines, project materials, documents, content & reporting

  • Track market and competitor trends to contribute to development of the team and suite of services
