Lead Product Manager
You would be making an immediate impact for a small team among 5, report directly to the VP Product. This team is entrusted with looking across user experience and finding the best ways to engage our users as they sign up, try the product, and use it to solve multiple jobs-to-be-done. Real time solution problem solving.
The team partners with other business unit teams to help users decide which steps to take in their journey for them to achieve their goals and move. The team focuses on the sign-up, dashboard, and core personalization logic, as well as partners with our Product Engagement Lead to craft effective notifications.
Taking the craft of product management to heart, you will have strong strategic thinking capabilities, understands consumer product experiences, deeply empathetic to users and their challenges with the product and journey.
You’ll mentor other PMs and collaborate with world-class startup teams of Product Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Business. Mentor and lead.
Collaborating with the Data Team is particularly unique - they surface insights on user behavior way beyond what is normal. A day may look like:
Lead product development initiatives in partnership with Design and Tech Lead partners
Run user, competitor, and market research
Define strategy and goals
Model potential opportunities and lead prioritization within your product area
Write lean product specs
Work with the Design team to deliver the best possible user experience and delight users
Continuously propose new experiments to improve conversion and user engagement
Collaborate with CX to respond to user needs and NPS findings
Mentor other PMs and product-enthusiasts within Updater
5-8 years of experience in product management, at least 2 years focused on consumer-facing, mobile-centric experiences
Optimism and a forward-looking attitude with a clear, inspiring communication style
A desire for collaboration and knowledge of how to drive decision-making
Experience collecting and using qualitative and quantitative data to uncover actionable insights and drive forward decisions
Strong experience in setting hypotheses, deciding between various types of testing (A/B, multivariate, interviews, surveys, etc), and leading efficient test execution
Knowledge of how to balance data with intuition when necessary
Experience with Sketch, InVision, Webflow, Zeplin, UserTesting, Optimizely
